Hey Li, I found out that Canada day is the same day as "Return to the Motherland" (or whatever it is called) Day in Hong Kong. Only the holiday in Honkers is like 8 years old.

lol, I thought people in Hong Kong would've rather been english than chinese, but whatever erm.. my news is I just lost my job they fired me because I would be missing too many days since I can't go this whole week because I got my appendix removed and all... it's kinda sad because it was a great job and the people I was working with were awesome and all... but whatever, I'm in for next year ;D

Aw, sorry to hear that, Nancy. But if that's not a good attitude, I don't know what is. If you don't mind me asking, where did you work?

Yeah Nicks, I thought so too, but remember that the national public holidays are ones that are organised and set by the government, so that's probably what the Chinese government did. Besides, technicaly Honkers was only on loan to the British, so it was a bit like, "now the lease is over and you're going back where you belong" sort of attitude.

Yeah, good point 'Neko...
Li, I was working on this project one of the local unis and Intel sponsor... basically we were learning to use flash mx and create animations and all, and we had to create a story for 4th or 5th graders which explained some science thing to them... at the end they're handing them in to the SEP (Public education ministry) so they can use them in classrooms with enciclomedia (which is a new thing they got... basically it's a smart board like the one I got, and some encyclopedia cd's and stuff) so it was really cool... all the other kids were cool, and there's some I'm really gonna miss... but whatever, right? C'est la vie? And I'm still eligible to participate next year. ;D

I'm not Li ( ), but... that sounds really cool, considering how you get to combine so many different areas.

Cool! That sounds like a really awesome job. Bummer about it and everything. I love Flash animation, only I'm really bad at doing it. Nicks, maybe you could give me some pointers.

Heh, that's okay. Do you know how to make those moving gifs and stuff too? I've always wanted to know how to make those.

*hears computer-relaed stuff *
I have some basic knowledge of Flash. But the farthest I got to once was makign a ball bounce on the floor, go up, through a hoop, back down and roll.
There are certain programs, like Animation Shop, which can be used o do avvies, like the one I'm using now for example.

Oh, my friend did something like that, Hermy. I think it was in some class, and I think hers was a bouncing ball, too.
Is Animation Shop downloadable?

I think it is, though I don't have it. I think you can download it from the main Jasc website, and then do what all tricky people do.
