[glow=crimson,2,300]Congrats Hermy, well done. I think we all know that feeling when you get the brown envelope through the post and you open it with trembling fingers, plucking all your courage to look inside...... PHP scripting: a text book definitions: PHP is a server-side, cross-platform, HTML embedded scripting language that lets you create dynamic web pages. PHP-enabled web pages are treated just like regular HTML pages and you can create and edit them the same way you normally create regular HTML pages. (Even I don't understand that ) In English that means that basically, PHP is a slightly different and a bit more advanced alternative to PHP. The advantages are that you can make your webpages look really dynamic and smooth as if their made from flash, it's also very easy to do basic animations with it. Hope that clears up . [/glow]

Oh, ok; you had lost me there for one minute. But then I got what you mean.
And just so you know, I received my results through text mesage. My "real" results, that is, they're on paper, will come next week. But thanks!

By text message? As in on a cell phone? I don't know if it's the same concept as here. Or is it like an email alert?
I haven't received my AP scores yet, but the thing is, I was looking at some of my college data online, and it already says that I have credit for a couple of the tests I took. So I think that means I did well enough on them. But I'm just inferring until I get to have the results in front of me on paper.

That's really great Sphi!!
And, yes I did receive them on my mobile phone. But, it's only because these were the O' Levels. I think for the A' Levels they're the same.
Hehe, when I received the message, my mind was working things in in "outstanding", "Exceeds Expectations" and such.

That's quite cool, how they actually send your scores through your phone. It seems so...so modern. ;D

Hehe, yeah it is. The only problem is if they mix up your marks with those of someone else, so the ones you receive on your mobile phone aren't your real ones. Because there were thousands of students who sat for the exams of course.

And some students might not even have a cell phone. But still, it's a nice feature for those who do and want to see their scores a little earlier. I never knew Malta was so technologically advanced like that.

Actually, most teenagers my age have a mobile. You can see 11 year olds running around with mobile phones. Seriously, kids are getting way to spoilt.
Hehe, we try to be.

Yeah, it's the same over here with the cell phones...
=) My news is I just got a 1508 on the hardest SAT test I ever took. 1508 when I need only 1300... I'm really happy about this. =)

Congrats, Nancy! That's a great SAT score. How did you get an 8, though? I thought it went by tens?

Congrats Nicks! That sounds like a really high score... I'm not too familiar with the SATs myself... how does scoring and everything work? Is it done on a bell curve? (I hate those... like you know where they have percentile rankings and stuff)

That score should be out of 1600, although the new SAT is out of 2400 now.

Wow 1508 out of 1600 is really great!
So how many SAT tests would you normally sit for? I'm completely perplexed with the way the SAT system works.

I'm not sure how the system is changing, after this 2400 score change, but before, it wasn't even absolutely required to take the SAT. The SAT was just one of the standardized tests that college-bound students could take; many people chose to take the ACT instead, or often both. Sometimes it depends on what your colleges ask for. But it's pretty common for students to take the SAT a couple times (I think you can take it as many times as you want, but it does cost money to register), in hopes of raising their scores.
