I just found this on Mugglenet. Things are looking good.
I so wish it were true!

Wow, that would be amazing. And it would fit so well with my schedule. ;D But I didn't realize that it was going to be so much shorter than OotP--that would be about the size of PoA.

What? Where does it say that Sphi? I thought it would be something like the size of GOF, or similar to that at least. But not so thin!
Yeah that would fit perfectly with mine too! I finish early this year.

Well not exactly slacking. More like, enjoying her private life while writing the next book.
What do you mean by another site Li? You want me to mention more or something?

And a little bit of deflation from that great rumour:

Slightly better news coming along here. I found this on Mugglenet too(if you're wondering why I always say that it's because I simply LOVE that website. It's always keeping track of news and ideas)

ARGH!! Some evil, evil person at work bragged that they had a copy of HP&THBP on paperback and hardcover, so then I had to run to the bookstore like an idiot and be all dissapointed. Yes, laugh while you can, plebian... *mutter mutter*
Hm, I dunno if Kingsley would be the new MoM. I somehow don't think Auror is right under that prestigious title.

I hope it's Susan Bones. She seemed like a very down-to-earth person. And recently I thought of this: JK always seems to introduce things a books beforehand to give us a little taste of it. Like the Whomping Willow in COS, which has a bigger part in POA. So, he same theory might be for Susan Bones.

announcements in january, eh? just a few more days til then! you do have a point, herm. she does do that, doesnt she? well...i think bones would be a good MoM, but for some reason i just cant picture jkr doing that. *shrugs* but then again, i cant even picture a new MoM. maybe its just a new person....or perhaps an ambassador from another country who has been promoted? (if you consider going from ambassador to minister of magic promoted...)

*smiles gleefully and bounces* I saw that on the news!! A huge grin broke across my face when they said she was done writing the book, and even bigger grin when they said when the book was gonna be released. We don't have to wait for ages and ages!
I am soo tired right now, but I had to come on (and check out JKR's website, but there's nothing there at the door. The sign is off, but it's not letting me in. ). But....yay!!! It's finished and will be here shortly! What a wonderful gift to receive:)

*does her happy dance* Ack! It's coming!!! Aaaand... I just checked out her website when you mentioned that you tried to go there (oh the things I do to avoid studying for exams ) the door does open Hint: click on the open door in the mirror to close it, and it'll open the "real" door. There's a bunch of presents that you can click on and answer questions. It's not that exciting, really, it's just an announcement of what we already know, but it's nice to hear it from her, eh? If you want a clue for the answers to the riddles/questions, check out mugglenet.com's index page...

I've just checked on JK's site and it seems it says that there will be less than 38 chapters.
