I've heard Devil May Cry is pretty good. I've been considering getting it too. Awesome graphics for one, and I like the idea of the plot too, from what I've heard of it.
I want to get The Sims for my PC and get the unleashes expansion pack. It's very cool. So many ways to decorate your house. And you can make a big nightclub room, and I always give them the teleporter for stairs adn put it in the middle of the indoor pool so when they have to go to the toilet they need to swim through the pool to get there. ;D
I'm so cruel to my Sims.

I used to play the Sims too, until I got bored of it and removed it from my computer. Just wondering, what with all the expansion packs coming out, do you have to install the earlier expansion packs first before moving on to other packs? For example, like when you want to install the Unleashed expansion pack, do you have to install the Sims House Party first (which came earlier)?
Hope you can understand the Sims mumbo jumbo I said over there.
Anyway, I used to torture my Sims too, Nierme. There was this time when I made two people in a family, a husband and wife, both wearing shabby clothes and having no personality at all. I made the husband act so mean towards his wife that she moved away, just to see what it was like. Terrible, huh?

*grins* I love the Sims. It's so addictive. Once I played it for 10 hours straight, in the middle of the night. And yeah, I was also a horrible Sims god. I made a Big Brother house (where there were 5 people and they all slept in a big communal bedroom with 5 single beds and they had bathroom cubicles instead of proper toilets), a bitch/bastard house (where everyone just fought with each other and had -100 relationship factors) and a "Lord of the Flies" house (where there were 8 kids and the only way they made money was to have good grades and they could only eat pizza and the $5 snacks from the fridge. They all eventually got really pissed with me or left the house.
Ele, I cracked up when I imagined your sims swimming through their indoor pool with the big toilet sign over their heads. ;D
Devil may cry is good, but they've come out with DMC2 already. Oh, but that would mean that the cost of DMC would go down, which is good. I think it's already down to $39.95 now at EB.

No, when I say I was mean to my Sims, I was MEAN!!
Whenever I had a Sim that got depressed and wouldn't cheer up no matter what I tried to do for him/her, I'd make three walls, make them go inside, then put up the fourth wall and lock them in there and let them die. It was always amusing to watch them waving at me telling me they were hungry, then bursting into tears, and wetting themselves, then falling asleep in their own puddles. Then, when they died, an urn or a tomb stone would appear adn I'd take down the walls and everyone would mourn. I've locked Sims in a room with and made them burn themselves to death as well.
So when I say I'm cruel to my Sims, I mean it.

Looks like all of us have been mean to our Sims at one point or another. ;D
I used to create a one room house, put a one person family there, and let that person drink lots of espresso, just to see what the whole house would look like if it was covered in puddles. ;D

I used to make a swimming pool, let them all jump in and have a really good time and then conveniently delete the ladder, so they'd drown. And then I'd sell the urn/tombstone for $4.
I've never had a Sim burn themselves to death. Do they stop, drop and roll? I've had my Sims electrocute themselves and die from eating bad food (incidentally from not cleaning up their dinner- it had flies on it and stuff) and they'd like choke to death and writhe on the floor in pain. It was quite fascinating. ;D

haha, thats cruel, although i never really got the Sims. hey, i'm laci, i'm somewhat of a pc-gamer, not really into the consoles, actually in the old days i was one of those die-hard pc people, "death to consoles" and all that sort. but with age i have tamed my self. right now i'm playin Age of Empires 2. its a great game and i was wondering if any of you knew any sites to download custom scenarios, campaigns, also anyone here play Baldurs Gate, or D&D? is there a thread for D&D?

I haven't really had an oppurtunit to play D&D yet, but I think I would like it very much, being based on Tolkien's world from what I've heard. I am into CyberPunk which is a futuristic kind of D&D. Very cool wepaons and stuff and you get cybernetics......*begins to drool*
Age of Empires hey. I soooooo love that game, but I like the new one, Age of Mythology even better. I can have a look around and see if I can find you some stuff to download. I tend to have a knack for finding stuff as Motley will be able to confirm. Give me a little time and I'll see what i can dig up. I'll do it after I look up some Japanese stuff for Andykins. ;D

*grins* I loved Baldurs Gate when I played it. Finished it in a week. ;D Only I had to play it by myself because everyone else I asked to play 2P with got sick of it before I did.
Oooh, I want to play Age of Mythology! I'm stuck with Civilization right now, but it ain't the same.

hey cool, thanks lava lamp, someone should start a D&D thread and then we could have online sessions, like neverwinternights with the dungeon master and the whole setup, that would be great. hey Koneko, did you play both Baldurs Gate?

Nah Laci, just Dark Alliance. That's the only one I've got on PS2. What's the other one called? I take it that Baldur's Gate came out before Dark Alliance did?

www.ensemblestudios.com/aoeiix/docs/rms.shtml
That's the only place I found to download maps for AOE - II Hope it helps you.
My Oni game should be here sometime next week. ;D And I should have something else to occupy my time then. Hmmm.....perhaps I should let myself get too into it. We need to keep winning that house cup after all.
I think when I go back to work and have some money coming in I'll get more games. The Sims, AOM, and the above mentioned PS2 games. I must have my games. I MUST!!!
For now, I will keep playing Pokemon Stadium on N64. It's an uber cool game cos it's all about knowing your Pokemon and working out strategies. I like doing that sooooooooo much. I must get a hold of the second one if I can. It has tons of cooler Pokemons. ;D

well there Baldurs Gate 1 and 2 for pc and their respective expansions. its a 2-dimentional game with, but with really pretty, handrawn locations and was considered hardcore AD&D, compared to Diablo which is just hack and slash. i highly recommend it KoNeko the Public Advocate if your into Tolkien-esque adventures. thanks Nalumir for the link, its got some cool maps, i'll be busy for a while. is nalumir elvish?

Er, the Baldurs Gate that I played on PS2 was 3 dimensional! Er, it had a dwarf, and elf and an arcane archer in it...
Oooh, Ele, if you like pokemon, you'd love FFX. The battle program is similar to that of the pokemon games- there's elements that play differently on each other, plus some extra techniques like overdrive and stuff like that. It's so cool. I get to play it again! My sister's boyfriend is using it to bribe me.

Er....I actually don't know the exact origin of it. Motley kind made it for me cos I wanted a new name cos I hate my real one, and he put two names together to make it. It's means "Birth of light upon the Sea". Motley is sweet. But my othername I usually have on here, Nierme, is elvish. It means "in tears".
Yeah, I know what you mean KoKo. FFVIII has the same battle set up as well. That's the one game I have that I can play cos the PS2 supports PS1 games as well, only I'm stuck so I've left it for a while to come back to later, otherwise I just get pissed off and frustrated at it.
