Thank God I remembered the code 'cause I couldn't access the website right now. I have No idea.
Maybe we could try and figure out what the second code means in this thread.

Can't the excert be copied and pasted here or can't someone IM me with it? I'm really excited about this but I have no patience for the "path" until it comes. I never had patience for that kind of stuff.

Do you think we should just post it here so it can be discussed? I think everyone's too excited to actually read to spend time trying to figure out the puzzles.

I'll post it in the other thread then.

Who is the Mc Claggan guy? Kay, I'll read the other thread now and stop being lazy
Herm, thanks so much
Anyway, while reading it, apart from getting angry, the most stupid ideas crossed my brain. We can't really guess who it is if she's introducing us to a new character, except adapt the discription she presented to one of those characters we're speculating about, like Remus's brother and stuff. So I really don't know... it must've been kind of frustrating for those who waited for so long to get behind the door and finding this, that doesn't answer anything and leads to more and more speculation
The stupid idea was James. The eyes, I thought his were hazelnut and maybe during his.. absent period they got the colour they are in the excerpt. But that's highly unlikely, since the only straight and valid answer JKR gives in her FAQ sessions is that Harry's parents really are dead. Who then? I thought maybe a charact.. wait... Godric Gryffindor?! Read the first words, read the rest. I was thinking it was maybe a character that was like a legend, because of the described walk, then I thought of the CoS thing, and then...
...what do you think? He should be dead for ages, but who knows? Vampires do exist. (My ideas amaze me)

No no. Mc Claggan is a new character in HBP. We don't know who he is either.
Well yeah. I thought of him too. Maybe...no that can't be. I was going to suggest a portrait, but that wouldn't limp. Vampires?

Godric Gryffindor?! Read the first words, read the rest. I was thinking it was maybe a character that was like a legend, because of the described walk, then I thought of the CoS thing, and then... I didn't even think of that! *smacks head* That works perfectly, though. "Old lion, mane of tawny hair, bushy eyebrows, yellowish eyes, rangy loping grace." So this could definitely support the Godric Gryffindor=HBP theory, even if he's not alive anymore. It could be some image, like in a portrait Harry's looking at.

I only mentioned vampires because there's no way Godric could live so long without being immortal.

Yes but Sphi, as I said before, how do you explain the limp?
I understood your point on that one Ri.

Well, figures can move around from portrait to portrait. Maybe if the portrait was of an older (or possibly injured?) Godric, he would be limping.

Hmmm....it is possible. And yet, I have a picture of Godric Gryffindor, and he most certainly isn't wearing glasses.

Wait, you don't mean you have an actual picture of Godric, do you? Just in your head, right?
Or maybe it's not a portrait. Maybe it's a new character who's related to Godric, which would explain the lion-ness. But now I'm going in a circle with the other thread about the DADA professor.

Well yeah. I have the picture of him in the COS PC game. That's why I was saying that he doesn't seem like the person who limps and he's not wearing glasses.
Yeah it might be a relative.
Edit:
I'm just going to put up the codes here in black for whomever would wish them.

Maybe Godric was injured in some fight with Salazar
Maybe the guys who did the game only had that picture as an acessory and didn't bother much whether if it corresponded to Godric or not, because there isn't a real description of how he looks like. Maybe they did it just for doing it. Just another paiting on the wall that says its Godric. You know what I mean? I find it hard to make my views clear these days, I mean it.
