Really? One of my french class friends' band was gonna tour Mexico, opening for a big band, I don't remember who exactly... Anyway, some stuff happened between them and they all broke up so he had to get a new band... Sucks too, because they were good. They would've gotten attention and stuff... Got heard... And they're only 18/19. It would be great to tour... Of course first you need a proper band and completed songs.

Remember how I used to be all about acting? Well lately I completely lost interest. Now I want to be a prosecuting attorney for sex crimes. So it looks like we've got a whole bunch of lawyer-types on the board.

Go Leia! I reckon you'd make an excellent criminal lawyer! You know, Crim Law was probably one of the more interesting subjects I did at school- I mean, you could run a whole five-day case on consent or something. And law and gender is also a really interesting subject as well. ;D

Thanks, 'Neko! That's good to hear, because the course I took on it in high school I had to drop because it was incredibly dull. It seemed to be a course more on how to get out of being arrested than anything else. So I'm definitely glad to hear (as I was hoping) that college courses will be more interesting.

*nudges* Don't forget you have more choice in the kinds of courses you take at college as well. Thing is, I don't know if there would be a course specific to sex crimes, so you might have to do Crim law and procedure generally and then hone in your own studies from there. Or maybe you could do like, a work experience stint with someone in that field.
*grins* Hey, you know that there is an overlap between the criminality of sex offences and human rights... maybe I might end up working with you on a case or something ;D

Career aspiration #2056162: I'm going to be an academic and go on lecturing tours and write journal articles and teach kids at uni and mold young minds and stuff like that.
Thing is, I don't know how to start with that...

Career aspiration #2056162? ;D
Oh don't worry Ko, I'm sure you'd do great! It must be a great achievement, because to teach in Uni at your young age would be some kind of record here, and you'd need to be a real proper genius who went to Uni at the age of 15 or something. What will you be teaching exactly?

I have no idea what I'm gonna do with my life, and I'm 17 already. I'm taking my SAT's this May, I think, maybe April... anyway, I'm an IB student, I'm doing my SAT's, I'm researching uni's (most of them are in Canada...) and I have no idea what to do. Like... I dunno, I'd like to do something crazy and weird, like a chemical engineering major and a music minor, or to be a forensics worker, or that my band suddendly became famous, in an underground sort of way (which isn't gonna happen, seeing as how we never practice). I'd like that. But then, who's telling I'm gonna get accepted in any good university? I mean, one of my friends and I (especially me) were looking at guelph university, which is one of the best unviersities in canada, and I also considered oxford in england for a while... But who's saying I'll be able to go there? Picking a career/university/college/major is quite stressful.... any advice?

My advice choose the subject you enjoy studying and worry about a career afterwards.
I'm at University and i still have no idea of what i particualary want to do just the fields history or the environment.
Koneko over here to do that you get a masters and then if you get a high enough mark you get offered a job.
One word of warning if you are coming to study in England start saving now. The top up fees are being introduced in 2006 which could make it as much as £10,000 a year. The universities in Wales i think are not introducing it until 2007.
It'll be cool if you came over here.
