So I opened this post because I saw a recent reply, and the first post on the page was mine. Apparently I'm NOT who I thought I'd be, 5 years ago. And I'm glad, to be honest.

I also dream of owning a bookshop, with a big children's section, where kids could come in on Saturday mornings and I could read to them. That's a real peaceful dream, for me. Weird. I am living someone else's old dream. Seriously, though, it's weird to look back on our talk about opening a TD bookshop, back before I even learned that the bookshop I would eventually buy would be for sale. Because the one thing I didn't consider was having a children's section. Reading back through our comments - I kept talking about literature and history and science and all, but I never mentioned kids. Now I have toys at the bookshop as well as a LOT of YA and kids' books, and the majority of my favourite regulars are kids.

Kids can be pretty funny, plus they always have a bright, fresh view of the world

Job, check. School, checkish. Family, checkish.
I still want a picket fence, but perhaps not white. I feel like it'll be harder to keep clean...
I've turned into a boring, old fogey, and I'm only 24.

Well i guess i wanted to be a labtech because i love lab work. Which i still do! Working in labs was great because i could just listen to music and zone out and work on my experiments and stuff. I could work quietly and be in my zone. Love working in a lab!! However i know real life isnt liek that, only in school would i be able to work on my own experiments start to finish.
i guess i do field work, its kinda related i guess.
I would like to be a professional photographer though

I wan to design sustainable, energy-efficient processes for production, but mostly for remediation (purification) of air and water. I also want to be an advocate for rational use of resources, etc. Hopefully the world will be a better place when our generation leaves it than it is right now, and that's basically my dream job.

I want to be a mother. As for work, I want to do something related to books except working at a bookshop, unless it's owning my own. My boyfriend works at a bookshop and it's not as pleasant as one might think, although he loves what he does. The idea of editing and publishing attracts me a huge deal as well as proof reading. So something along those lines. But the job market is so bad that I don't think it will happen
